State Insurance Advertising Campaign in New Zealand “Favourite Things” by Colenso BBDO

State Insurance in New Zealand transmitted interesting campaign titled “Favourite Things”. The idea of campaign is simple: an insurance company wants to know what is most important in the lives of its consumers.

State Insurance invites New Zealanders to share the three most important things in their lives, and then the company can take care of them. The campaign has a nice TV spot called "Favourite Things", showing New Zealanders placing their favourite things in boxes, and a print campaign and some outdoor activities, like a giant shoe box (7m x 4m x 3m) placed in the middle of Wellington's Civic Square.

The campaign was created by Colenso BBDO, Auckland advertising agency. Filming was shot by director Nathan Price via Capital City Films, Wellington. Music is “My Favourite Things”, adapted from the Sound of Music. The song was recorded at Franklin Rd by Princess Chelsea, who is working on her debut album for release in 2011.

KarstadtQuelle Insurance Ambiant: Bowling Lane

KarstadtQuelle German Insurance Company is making the best use of bowling lanes by advertising dental implant coverage. Banners with faces printed on were attached to the wall at the end of the lanes. So when you bowl a strike it looks like you just have knocked out all teeth.

Yes I have seen some tooth ambients before, but this one's great! First of all in bowling you can find older people, that sis the target group of that ad.

I think even my grandpa would remember the phone number after some hours played bowling. Good job by Jung von Matt advertising agency.

Dental insurance commercial: Guess Who?

Funny commercial from Jung von Matt/Alster advertising agency in Germany, for German insurance company KarstadtQuelle Versicherungen promoting dental insurance services.

Really funny video… but maybe a little bit disgusting. They could have used anything solid like biscuit or something else rather than liquid. Liquid from anyone else mouth looks more disgusting than anything solid being crushed by the teeth.

Commercial aired on January 2010. Other credits you can find below.

HSBC insurance: Accidents always happen without warning.

HSBC insurance company offer a range of insurance policies including Car Insurance, Home Insurance, Sickness, Unemployment and Life Cover, Travel Insurance, Student Insurance or even Pet Insurance.

Communicating to all people and visitors at HSBC’s branches was the best moment to have an insurance policy with special rates.

According to the concept “Accidents always happen without warning” at the material was developed as safety warning signals to communicate risks people are exposed to and the possibility to get involved in an accident.

Nice campaign in my opinion, but the translation could be more like “Accidents can happen without warning“, I think this would be closer to the Spanish meaning of the copy.

This campaign is created by Mindshare - Team HSBC advertising agency in Colombia and released on July 2008. Other credits you can see below.

The Co-operators Insurance print advert: Aliens

The Co-operators is a group of Canadian companies focusing on insurance in their print advert showing your house, your car and even your cow taken by aliens.

I like the copy metaphor, but I don’t know about the art… To be honest - Boring... this idea was done 100 times…
